The ninth question really stumped me over. I’ve literally written “I made no headway whatsoever in this problem” under the heading. Even I’ve written 11 pages of LaTeX. I’m realy excited about the results. I got rejected by RSI. PROMYS is probably my last hope.

So has anybody heard back? Less than 2 weeks until the reply deadline for PROMYS Europe.

Does anyone know if it is possible to request an early notification? There are a few programs that I need to get back to and May 15 would be too late for that:(

Same, but seeing as nobody has gotten a decision back for PROMYS US, I don’t think they’ll give early notifications.

There is no way I am getting in. @222222r I have applied for the Mehta fellowship too - do you have any idea if anyone has got an interview yet for that?

I just saw that it says on the PROMYS website that Mehta fellowship decision will be out in the first week of May. Sooo seeing that I’ve not got any interview whatsoever, I probably didn’t get in. :frowning: Now I don’t have any backup for the summer

Do decisions usually take until the 15th to come out or can we expect them to start coming in sooner?

@sushis - sometimes they will give you an answer early. If you have other deadlines to meet you can ask.

@onceortwice Same. I guess that means our applications weren’t awful, right?

Anyway, what did they tell you in your email? In mine, they said: “In the likely event that you do not attend PROMYS 2018, you are welcome to reapply next year if you are eligible.” If you or someone else did not get that in your email, it could mean that they have a “ranking” system in the waitlist (i.e., whoever is ranked first gets the first available spot, and so on), and that I’m not very high on the list. However, they could just tell that to everyone who gets waitlisted. It would be more comforting if the latter is true.

And I too would like to know my chances. Does anyone know around how many people from the waitlist they generally accept? How many are on the waitlist?
