Proofreader for Yale Supplement Essay

I've been lurking here for a while now, and this forum has already helped me immensely with my college applications. So thank you!

Fresh off that expression of gratitude, I'm about to ask even more of you all...would anyone mind reading a Yale supplement essay due the 1st? I'd really love some brutal honesty from someone who is familiar with the college essay and doesn't know me well already.

I'm also nervous about the word limit...it says "fewer than 500 words" and I'm at 680...

Could someone help out a nervous 2015er?

I’ll read it. As for the word limit, I’d really suggest cutting that down. You’re 180 words or 36% over the suggested limit.

Thank you SO MUCH! I just sent it.

I’ll read it too. Send it if you want constructive criticism.

Ooh, an actual use to my English minor. I’d love to proofread.

Hey guys! Sorry to reawaken this thread but I’ve just finished my essay for the common app and if I could get a reader I’d be ecstatic. I’d just send it on over to one of the remarkable people who already sent feedback about the Yale essay but I don’t want to burden them without their explicit permission!

If somebody could help me out once again, that’d be fantastic!

I can read it and give you my opinions of it. I’m also a 2015 college applicant but my early decision essays are all finalized and submitted already.
