<p>I love all the maths faculty at Smith! They are awesome and sooooo helpful. There are center for maths and TA hours for different maths class every day!</p>
<p>I don’t know; my daughter’s calculus prof freshman year was “visiting,” which meant that he was looking for a job elsewhere, and it took most of the year to get the math department to listen to her and her fellow students’ complaints about him (he wasn’t there for class, he wasn’t there for tests, he marked the tests haphazardly, etc). She survived all right, because she’s good at math, but I was pretty ****ed that a quarter of her first year was subpar.</p>
<p>Marysidney, I’m sorry to hear your daughter’s visiting professor was so unsatisfactory. Perhaps she can work with her advisor in the future to make sure she has professors who are there for the long haul.</p>
