If one is a provost scholar but not in the honors college, are there still opportunities for undergraduate research?
@Nerdyparent There is, but it’s not required like it is in the Honors College. If your student is looking for research, he or she should do Honors. They offer special trips and other experiences that can enhance the research. Their juniors are in Boston right now (paid for by Honors) as they begin their research for their thesis. They have to explain why the trip will assist with the research in order to go on the trip. It’s called Junior Quest.
If the student doesn’t get accepted into Honors, they can join as a junior through the Honors junior entry program.
Thanks @collegeguider - he just found out he got in honors yesterday.
Congratulations @Nerdyparent!! I am certain that he will enjoy the experience in the SMBHC.
Thanks @collegeguider - you are a great ambassador for your alma mater.
congrats! my son has also been accepted into the HC. He’ll be a mechanical engineering major.
