The triangle is: The perimeter is 8
a<b<c
a, b, c are integers
What is the greatest value that b can be?

“difficulty in spotting small planets”

What was the question exactly? If I recall correctly, the second passage didn’t talk about the difficulty in spotting small planets.

eaglesforlife

agreed

saturday’s SAT math was a freaking joke compared to the math today. wowwwww we got lucky on the sat eh?

The spinner is 1/4. It is at least 8, not 8.

@eagles for life
I think the correct answer was 1/4.
The first spinner had option 1-4, the second 1-6.
So total possibilities is 4 x 6 = 24.
I actually counted all the possibilities just to be sure and got 6.
6/24 = 1/4.

wow thanks guys
i took a random guess and i guess it worked!! thank god

@eagles
Wow, wish my random guesses turned out like that!

I always guess wrong lol

plus i feel like a stupid about the question asking for the lowest value of 12/abs(x-y)…
i put 1.2 at first and then changed to 0
i have no f***** idea y!!! i need to start going with my guts haha

if anyone remembers any other q/a can u post them. i freaking out i already got soooo many wrong!

Oh thank god it was 1.2, that was an iffy one for me. Math isn’t a strong point (though I enjoy it, to a degree)

ugh i put 1 for the lowest value cuz i thought they meant whole numbers

a;right thanks im pretty sure i got it correct

What were the answers to the astronomy passages?

Silverturtle:

I put that it was used to show what the radio-technology had already found or something.

@ elainen8
tell me bout it…i suck at math
i skipped 3 MC and 2 grid ins…
anything more than 600 is fine with me hahah

can u tell me the q for that 1.2 one?

0 <= a <= 5
-5 <= b <= 0

what is the maximium value for 12/(a-b)

@arashi1
I think the question went something like:
0 is less than or equal to x which is less than or equal to 5 (sorry, I don’t have that symbol on my keyboard)
-5 is less than or equal to y which is less than or equal to 0

What is the smallest value possible for
12/the absolute value of (x-y)

Or wait, what is it largest value possible? I can’t remember, sorry :(

1.2…12/|5-(-5)| = 1.2
