PSAT 2010 Wednesday General Discussion

It’s affronted. And I don’t see how people still don’t understand the impair/minimized question. Yes, there are varying degrees of correlation: strong/weak correlation (and for those who know stats, correlation can be anywhere between -1 and 1). And no, you do not aggravate regulation nor buttress correlation with inconclusive evidence. Inconclusive evidence weakens/minimizes correlation since your evidence shows there is little/no correlation.

Dear goodness! The hypertension one’s going to be contested for ages, isn’t it? I still say that a) inconclusive evidence can never strengthen a claim and b) “aggravating blood pressure regulation” still makes no sense. Impair is a much better word. If you think there’s a pattern until you do lab work, whereupon which your results show no pattern, those results were inconclusive and therefore mean there’s a smaller chance you were right. You need a contrast, too, that butress simply doesn’t supply.

dang i put disgusted

No, “starred in” was correct.

Had I known what affronted meant, I would have chosen that answer :frowning:
M-80 W-75~80 (depending on the curve) CR - 58~62.
So I’m guessing I got past 210.

EDIT: also, an idiot that I am, I thought buttress meant to weaken, which was the opposite of its real meaning LOL

i have a question… i put on my grid in “08” instead of “8”, is that a problem?

^ I doubt it.

I feel like I missed one or two in each section.
I can’t even remember what I put for the affronted, etc. one.
But I missed the AA2 question, and the acrophycal or whatever one.

Yeah after going through this thread… Now projecting CR 65-75, M 75-80, W 68-80 (writing is the hardest to check like this).

Edit: Still wondering what the 5th choice in the affronted question was.

affronted
embarrassed
skeptical
disgusted
???

I just got home…

I haven’t read any of the stuff you guys said, but…

tell me those were the easiest math sections ever.

Math - 77 (-1)
CR - 75-77 (-1 or 2)
Writing - 65-75 (-???)

No. Which question are you referring to?

"Yeah after going through this thread… Now projecting CR 65-75, M 75-80, W 68-80 (writing is the hardest to check like this).

It’s vindictive for the ???

I honestly thought the math section was easy. I could have gotten everything right on the math section, minus one. Ehhhhh.
Well, I’m a sophomore, so it’s all good.

Can someone tell me what the affronted question was?

Yeah I got that one wrong. QQ.

How was the test compared to the practice PSAT booklet test?

Math was definitely easy. and it’s definitely affronted

[against cb rules, removed]

@PseudoNim

The sentence was in the past tense i think so it wouldnt be stars in

Wait, I’m way too lazy to read, but it was apocryphal and curtail the answers for two of the SC, right?
