PSAT 2010 Wednesday General Discussion

ugh, I completely screwed up the math. >.>

what was the other part to aggravate? vs. the minimize… i thought it can minimized a correlation

What was that one where it asked for why the fisherman responded in the way that he did to the father and Martia or wutever her name was?

CR- the new space research reading of why the author used the words declutter, etc. question
choices: slightly disdainful, expounds on previous literary language
what did you guys get?

i got expounds. she/he wasn’t being disdainful

I put slightly disdainful

What did you guys get on the one with the number of kids in Basketball and Drama, I wasn’t sure of this one

problematical i said disdain i think

i got the same thing 5/3

41 is the kids in sports and drama.

basketball drama had 20 from the center plus the other written part think its 45?

It was 41, there were 21 people in the other part

nevermind its probably 41

So what’s the general concensus on the blood pressure one?

no one answered what was the other part to the CR aggravate. what went with that? it was that or minimize

Fisherman’s response was it emphasizing his wisdom or qualifying his comment those were the two i was stuck between or was it even another different answer?

aggrevate!!! haha but im reallly not sure… my friend who gets 2250 consistently on SAT practice tests chose the impair one i think.

I put impair/minimize. What was the other word given in the aggravate choice?

The one on the space paragraph with declutter, etc was to expound on previous figure on speech. He keep going with the metaphor of cleaning up or whatever it was he used at the beginning.

Fisherman one was qualify; he was saying that regardless of his opinion, it was the father’s choice.

Are you sure? What were the other answers for the space one?

I put increase/diminish for the blood pressure one! I had no idea what hypertension was, and I know “hyper-” is more, as in “hyperthermia”, so I thought increased regulation would cause more tension ><

I got expand for the space one and qualify for the fisherman, because I didn’t feel like the passage said he was particularly wise.

does anyone remember any other CR questions/answers? just pour em out if you remember them, CR is my worst and i want to see how many i missed >_<
