Here’s an idea: After calling the college and getting confirmation that it’s this year’s PSAT, why doesn’t someone call the COLLEGE BOARD and ask them why they sold your percentile to a college rather than send it to you. When they deny it let them know that the college is saying “Oh yes you did” and then offer to get the college on the line to clear everything up.
The students all actually signed off on sending the Telluride Foundation their specific scores (not just percentage groupings) when they took the PSAT. It, as well as NMSQT and National Hispanic Recognition program, is listed by name on the CB PSAT website as organizations who receive scores unless you specifically opt out.
The scores have been released to colleges and scholarship programs before being sent to students for years. It definitely isn’t new this year.
i got the brown and tasp email but not the stanford one.
i don’t think its based on last year’s psat scores b/c i scored a 189 which is low af
this year though, im quite confident that i did significantly better (b/c i actually studied lol)
For parents who are freaking out because their child didn’t get the TASP email, they might have just not checked the box that signs them up for the Student Search Service. It doesn’t mean anything if they opted out of having their information sold to different colleges and organizations.
I got brown, stanford, Oxbridge, and RSI, but no tasp. I got a 214 last year, but it doesn’t sound like those scores have any effect. I’m pretty sure I checked all boxes relating to sharing scores.
@Chew97083 Honesly I think these organizations/colleges are picking random people from the Student Search Service who meet their standards send emails to them.
