I'm in my sophomore year and the psats just came in, my score shocked me, I got a 53 in cr, 54 in math and 58 in writing total 240 I want to raise my score to 220 by junior year, ineed study tips, is it even possible to raise my grade by 55 points, I feel so mad and disappointed in myself I noticed grades don't reflect the sats at all any help would be great

wait how did you find out?

It is certainly possible…I went from a beginning 1620 SAT Practice score in mid-sophomore year, and now I (junior) score between 2200-2350 on most practice tests. I haven’t gotten my PSAT results yet but I think they were also in the 220+ range. You really should take advantage of CC’s resources and use the Blue Book to do lots of practice and correct your mistakes.

By the way how did you get your scores?

To improve, just do practice problems. See what you get wrong, and learn how to answer those types of problems. The SAT tests only a limited number of skills. For reading, work on vocabulary, understanding main ideas, and general reading comprehension. For writing, work on grammar, especially subject-verb agreement, tense agreement, and grammatical case. for math, work on word problems, geometry theorems, and algebra.

Also, how’d you get your score?

my guidance counseler told the scores were in and he showed it to me, they should be in
and thanks for the help. I really hope i score over 200 next time
