Hey everyone, I was just wondering if I had any chance at all of scoring in the 200s….I felt so sick during the test that I couldn't think straight for three of the sections, resulting in 3 omitted answers in math and 8 omitted in reading….
Also, are PSAT scores really important? Should I cancel my score if I don't think I can get in the 200s? Thanks~

PSAT scores really do not matter unless you are competing for the NMSQT. I wouldn’t cancel the score; you can see how you did and what you need to improve on when you get it back in December. That is why sophomores take it anyhow.

As far as I know, PSAT scores go nowhere. Their only purposes are for National Merit consideration and to let you see how you might do on the SAT or another PSAT. And they don’t count as a sophomore for National Merit even if you make the cut.
