Is the difficulty of the psat just about the same as the sat? I've been working through the psat questions and some of the reading ones seem a bit easier. Is this true or is it just me?

Reading is definitely easier on the PSAT. That said, I scored much better on my SAT than my PSAT. The 2 tests don't correlate well at all.

Interesting...any other key differences? I've done pretty well on the PSAT, and I really don't want to have to take the SAT multiple times because my score went down or something...

The difficulty of the PSAT is just about the same as the ACT. I've found the math to be of equal difficulty, the reading to be of equal difficulty, and the writing to be of equal difficulty. Some people will say that the PSAT is easier, and some will say that it's harder, but the PSAT is a good representation for the SAT. But remember that the SAT is longer than the PSAT, so you might get tired and make some mistakes. Also, if you study well, you shouldn't need to take the SAT multiple times.

I would say that it's about the same. Or even that the SAT is easier. I took the PSATs twice and the SATs twice and both times my SAT scores were higher. I just like the PSAT better because you don't have the anxiety of "oh my goodness, what's the essay question going to be?" and also because it's shorter.
