I took the practice PSAT test that my school gave and I scored a 183, and I timed myself so I was within the limits, but I was wondering how good of a score this was for a sophomore?

182 is a solid score for a sophomore.

I got a 171 in 10th grade (mainly because of timing), and this year I'm scoring 209+ on practice tests. :)

Congrats to both of you..
I got a 170 last year.. and on practice PSAT/SAT im still cant get past the 185 range.. I'm hoping tomorrow the adrenaline boost may help me get atleast a 190, I want a 20 point boost. We'll just have to see

I got a 190 as a freshman last year, but I'm having this strange feeling I'm going to do worse this year. I'm not sure why.

Reverse psychology, of course!
This really means you're going to do...er...worse!

193 for sophomore year here . . . but my best friend scored a 224 as a sophomore, so she made everyone look bad.

I got a 156 as a sophomore :D:D. But now I'm in the 200's range. Probably got around a 210 on today's PSAt

How come people tell scores in the 100s instead of 1000s w. the PSAT?

because that is how we get the score on the score report? It's not a sconscious choice, it's how the score is presented to us.
