What were your scores as a sophomore?

I just figured out my PSAT score and it is a 179 (CR: 50, M: 70, W: 59).... something I was not expecting. I'm applying to a school that only has upper schoolers (11th & 12th) and is a math/science focus school. One of the things they look at is your test scores. I'm super nervous because now I feel like I did such a terrible job and I won't get accepted (51/130 students ea. yr) because my score is so low.

What were your scores (PSAT & SAT) sophomore year? How much did they improve the next year(s)?

Well let’s just say this… My PSAT Sophomore year was garbage (151), my first SAT was an 1810, but my most recent SAT was a 2050 and all I did was mature/do a few practice tests. I went from a 580 PSAT math to an 800 math as well, so if I can achieve that, you could definitely get an 800 if you really worked hard (although luck is slightly involved). I’m not aiming for a top school, but if I were, I would have studied a lot harder than I did.

And I wouldn’t worry, you have a great Math score for a sophomore (or any other grade for that matter). Good luck!
