I have been waiting for ages and checking the website frantically for weeks upon weeks… still nothing. I’m losing hope.
I have a 3.67 GPA, 1200 SAT, AP Scholar as a junior, tons and tons of extracurricular including NHS and various elite choirs… I scored advanced on my keystone exams as well… it’s just becoming agonizing to wait and I continue to scrutinize myself because of it.

Not to be rude but almost every single person on here who gets accepted to summer asks if there is some way to get out of it. No there is no way out unless you are re-evaluated and the chances of that working out are so slim. Be grateful that you have heard and have gotten in while the rest of us are still waiting. You may ask to be re-evaulted maybe for an easier major but the chances are slim especially because the majority of people who get into summer would not be able to get into UP fall otherwise, re-evaluating will probably not change the original decision.

YEA!!! my son was just accepted. My daughter is a junior and we love this school. It will be his choice but we are so excited the wait is over. had a 4.2 gpa and a 1100 sat. YEA!
yay!!! My son just accepted! Political Science. He checked off summer in case he needed a buffer and was accepted for the fall YAY!!

Hang in there if you have not heard yet, I know the wait is terrible! I applied first week in September and could find no rhyme or reason as to how they rolled out decisions these past few weeks. I kept hearing it was “random” and it made me feel worse!
Advice from another school’s counselor that I found interesting: If you are still waiting and are doing well with senior year grades (AP classes specifically), be an advocate for yourself and ask admissions if they would consider review of your senior grades thus far. They will “note” your file with the details you provide. It may not make a difference, but it shows your desire to attend and that you haven’t “checked out” on tough senior year courses. Only do this if you have excellent grades and tough courses obviously ;))

BTW…its killing me. my son hasnt checked the portal and has no idea he was accepted. we are dying to tell him but my wife and I agree he needs to see on his own. how many hours will we have to wait…ARGGGG…
Beyond Frustrating! My daughter applied Sept 1. Still waiting. Why does PSU say they are “rolling” admission, but evidently it appears random with no rhyme or reason? PSU is my daughter’s #1 choice but this admission process definitely is off putting. All of her classmates that applied well after her (weeks and months!) have heard back already. And those that didn’t at least received post card correspondence to hang in there til 1/31. We have received nothing. The portal has never changed. Every other school she applied to (including big universities) she has heard from already - which she applied to well after PSU. Trying to remain patient but very difficult! Thanks for the vent.
7@twizzler768 we are in exactly same boat as you. Everything in by 2 nd week of Sept. She heard from the Ohio state and university of Indiana and got into direct admit to both business schools. Now we wait for Smeal. All her friends have heard from PSU.
All - My son was in the same boat. 52 kids had applied from our school and many had already heard by now, We told him last night that it probably doesn’t look to good. We wanted to set expectations but keep the hope. news finally came…there are still 10 days. keep the hope.
