I applied February 23rd and didn’t send my official SAT scores until last week LOL… good luck to y’all though

Is it too late to ask for reconsideration to main in a new major? Decided I no longer wanted to go in that field

What is “that field”? And were you admitted to University Park already?
You know, you can just wait for your orientation and tell your adviser you’ve changed your mind since October when you applied, and would now like to major in Z, what do you have to take?
If you’ve been admitted to UP already, it’s the simplest thing.

I was going into education but switching to adventure therapy (recreation, park, and tourism management). Accepted into Altoona for 2+2, but would rather go to UP

Applied to University Park at September and finally got admitted last weekend

@woodjill: well, you can ask, in case that particular major isn’t full. Is it offered at up only?

Does anyone know when the decision will be out if you applied early January?
Has anyone found out yet? I know online it says end of March, but many other schools my daughter applied to that said that have notified her already. This is for University Park.

Can anybody tell me what the difference is between LEAP and the summer program (I got accepted to summer @UP)?

Congrats! LEAP is a program for incoming freshmen. You take a pair of courses, selected from the LEAP choices. These will have about 20 students, same bunch in both classes. Your group ( a “pride”) also has upperclass students assigned as sort of cruise directors, who will arrange out of class events and such. LEAP also includes extra orientation like library tours, eating out, safety and social info. I have never heard of anyone who did LEAP and regretted it. Many LEAP cohorts remain good friends throughout school.

summer session is – you pick two classes, attend them with an assortment of whoever. A lot of locals and upperclassmen take summer classes too.

LEAP is better because it includes all sorts of extras (peer advisers, field trips, socials…)
