<p>WOW ! SO, varsity sport is that strong to get you in with 1200 SAT ? I think its because the poster has 4.0 UW GPA and Penn State’s decision is 2/3 GPA so, that’s what got her in plus the hook. </p>
<p>@snuggle that’s just the middle 50%. If you go down to low 10th, I think it will be around 1550 since the 25th is at 1620.</p>
<p>@XtremePower, yeah, but how can someone get a 4.0 GPA but got 1200 SAT? Usually they are correlated. @LoveMusic13, maybe you do not really care about taking SAT cause you are really good at sports?</p>
<p>Well I have an even more extreme example… my favorite NFL player, Seahawks CB Richard Sherman, Stanford alum, got a 4.2 HS GPA and a 990 SAT (lol). Do remember though that GPAs alone never tell the entire story. Being an athlete has to be the reason.</p>

<p>@snuggle @xtremepower yes it was to University Park. I was supposed to take the ACT, but I was competing everytime there was a test date so I ended up taking the SAT. When I took two official practice test, my score was 29 ACT, 1090 SAT. I’m so much more an ACT person but was forced to take the SAT. I had a lot of people helping me out though with recommendations. Shocked indeed I was but I did it! Accepted also into the science college</p>
