For those of you who have taken this course...Did you have to purchase a textbook? My class/teacher isnt showing any required textbook for this class..which I think is a little odd.

It’s possible that the prof hasn’t submitted their book list to the co-op. Did you check on blackboard yet? http://courses.utexas.edu

I didn’t know about the blackboard site! Cool. Where would the textbooks show up? I checked my son’s courses, and nothing shows up under “Announcements.” (PS - I know I’m hovering too much. He leaves for Austin in a few weeks, then I realize I can’t do this kind of thing anymore, lol! I will go through withdrawal.)

on the bb website, you can look under “my courses”, click on the appropriate class. look to see if a syllabus has been updated or if the prof has sent anything.

if you want to be really overzealous, you can send out a class email from there asking about books to all enrolled, TAs (if any) and prof or any combo of the three. don’t go crazy.

OH and PS…it’s more than a month before classes have started. profs are still on vacay and prob won’t update their bbs until about two weeks before. no need to panic.

vacheespagnole, thanks!
