<p>So I had a "directed study" where I didn't study too much at all. So I don't know anything at this point. Can I get a 5 on this thing through a bing study this weekend? Anyone else in the same boat as me?</p>
<p>Yeah, except the sad thing is, I’m taking AP Psych as a class at school. It’s just my teacher is so horribly incompetent and we spent all year listening to him talk about all the girlfriends he used to have and how cool he was in high school.</p>
<p>Oh jeez, that must suck… Another thing, I was looking at a thread that said college actually see ur AP Scores before u get in (so they see them when ur applying). My teach always told me the difference b/w a 4 and a 5 is bragging rights… I guess that wouldn’t be the case if colleges were seeing the scores. Is this really how it works?</p>
<p>only if you authorize the college to obtain them. Otherwise don’t worry about it. The difference between a 4 and 5 isn’t bragging rights. Once again, another incompetent teacher spreading non sense. The truth of the matter is there is a difference between a 4 and 5. It depends on the school you go to. For example some schools will allow you to get more credit or pass more classes. For example if you got a 5 on the APUSH exam you could pass both us history classes (often times its broken up into 2 college classes). If you got a 4, you might only be to pass the first class but have to take the 2nd class.</p>
<p>thanks for clearing that up. He’s actually not all that incompetent because he was talking about history, and I mean just about all colleges offer equal credit for 4s and 5s. Obviously Chemistry you HAVE to get a 5 on, but lets face it, thats not very hard to do.</p>
<p>from what I’ve seen the more prestigious the shcool is the more pickier they will be about your actual ap score. I forget which exact ivy league school it is but they only give credit for 5s. It might be harvard. If you are going to go to a state school or community college you only need a 3 to get credit.</p>
<p>Killer, I’m going to a state school. While I get credit for some 3s, other classes require higher. English (both) needs a 5. My 4 on apush gets me 4 credit hours, but if I had made a 5 I would have gotten 8. Oh well, it doesn’t help me in my major anyway…</p>
