Psychology major courses

Hi all,

my son got admitted at UT austin in a psychology major, liberal arts course. He is still uncertain about what he would like to study though. He has completed his schooling in a commerce course - math, english, accounting, business studies and economics(micro and macro). He has studied sciences till a very basic level.

couple of questions -

other than the electives, what courses will he actually be required to take in the first year? for example - english, math…

if he decides to take up some science courses like chemistry or physics, where is the best place to find out details regarding the different courses?

thank you,
indian mom

The requirements are all listed for each major under its degree plan: http://www.utexas.edu/cola/content/degree_plans/2004_2006_catalog/PSYBA04-06.pdf

Did you not receive the Undergraduate Catalog? It has short descriptions for I think every class. You can also look online at the Course Schedule.

Thanx kcirsch. No we did not receive anything.
