Psychology vs Human Development

I'm debating which major to apply to. I'm interested in social work, but I do not know which major would be best to pursue that career. Both are suggested, but which is the better program at Binghamton?

I think that either would be fine for you to work in. Many people I know who have graduated from the Psychology department have gone on to do other things generally like school psychology or a doctorate program in Clinical psychology, however it is not the case for everyone. The human development majors, from my experience as a student here, are the ones who generally go on teaching, social work, etc. You can look over the CCPA website here: [Binghamton University - Academic: Schools and Colleges: College of Community and Public Affairs](http://www2.binghamton.edu/ccpa/human-development/). The Graduate Social Work program is under the School of Community and Public Affairs which is the same school in which the undergraduate human development major is in. I don’t know if that helps.
