public school and private school

Hi I am Chinese and I really didn't have a chance to take a close look at the American colleges physically.

I am accepted by some colleges in America.

So,I have always heard that public schools have very large class and I may feel lost or get little attention, especially for an international student like me.

I just wonder whether that is true.

Some public schools have very good reputation like UNC. (Actually I am WL by UNC and think about whether I would go if i got accepted. I know it sounds kind of creepy.But they don't tell me their decisions until the end of june. That is terribly late!)

So, Now i am planning to go George Washington U . it gave me some money and in a very good location. Also strong programs in Pol Sci.

GWU has about 10,000 undergraduates. Do you think GWU can actually give me more personal attention than the public school does?

Can anyone give me some advise? Thank you in advance!!

of course they do, for it’s smaller.

Considering the money issue, and the fact that its Pol Sci is really strong and the location is perfect (if you intend in Pol Sci).
Choose George Washington U

Soundwave: yeah. I have always been passionate about pol sci program and I love DC.
GWU is very expensive and the COA i have to pay after the scholarship is actually 3000 dollars more expensive than UNC.
but I am afraid that I wouldn’t get into UNC finally. Anyway, Thanks for your superquick answer!

3000 per year isn’t that bad, and GWU’s pol sci definitely deserves that much.

And glad to help my compatriot :D
