Hey guys

I just applied to my two first choice college EA, and I wrote a paper that I was thinkin about submitting, but I decided to wait until I was deffered so I could have my prof look over it first. She got back to me today, and she suggested some revisions, but she did say that it was decent enough to possibly be published after some things were reworded/added/edited/etc. Is it smart to rush through this process so I can hopefully get it publisehd before I'm deffered, so I can inform the adcoms of the publicatinon wen I'm deffered? Basically, is something like publishing a paper (keep in mind that if it were published, it wouldn't be in anything prestigious) something that could tip the scales between admit/deny? And if so, is this something worth notifying the adcom of before they come out with EA decisions?

Also, I'm worried that I won't be able to get in with just what I have now, so if I wasn't able to get it published before december, is it okay to inform the adcom of the publication sometime betwen Jan and March, so they can consider it with my application?

Thanks
