I have a dilemma I would like to get all of your opinions on.
I am currently conducting biomedical research and I listed on my common app that I have submitted a scientific paper for publisher peer review. I listed the estimated publication date as 1/15 but just this week, I was informed that the process is going to take much longer than expected and my article won't be out until late march or early april. Do you think colleges will be alright with this? I don't want to be dishonest in any way and I feel bad that I told them my paper is coming out soon when its not...</p>
<p>If it has been accepted, then the actual published date doesn’t matter. But usually when you submit you don’t know if it will be published or not until you get accepted, so you wouldn’t normally know the date prior to acceptance.</p>
