Has anyone heard from Purchase? D auditioned in Chicago but she has no idea when they are suppose to make a decision or how they notify everyone of their decision.

I auditioned on campus, and they said they send rejections immediately after the audition if they are sure they aren’t considering you. The exact words from one of the faculty members was “No news is good news at Purchase.” Most of the people I know who have been rejected received a letter about 1 1/2 - 2 weeks after their audition. Said faculty member said that all who are accepted or wait listed should hear back by the third week of March. I haven’t heard back either! finger crossed for us
If you still have any concerns or confusion, I would recommend calling the school. They might be able to give you a more definitive answer because, of course, things change.

I auditioned in L.A. Feb. 12th, I know the theatre dept contacted admissions to make sure I applied that was last week have not heard any news one way or the other yet!

Did admissions contact you? Do you know how they contact the people they accept or waitlist? From everything I have read it looks like one year they made their decisions early March and others it has been later in March. I think that I read they call those that they accept and send a letter for those that they waitlist and reject?? I just feel so sorry for all of you, including my D, who are anxiously awaiting “approval”…while most of your friends already know exactly where they are going…unless they are in theater! :-)

I’m hoping for the best for all of you!

I’m pretty sure everyone receives their decision in the form of the letter no matter the outcome. I didn’t hear anything about calls though. I just hope I get in! I didn’t get a callback so I was completely convinced I would get a rejection right away. Still no word!
