Purchase

Any info on when and how they do their acceptances?

They told D they do rejections first, then acceptances, then waitlists. D was rejected about 2 weeks after her audition. So no news is good news, I think.

Purchase did video tape “callbacks” at unified auditions. If they like you they have you redo your pieces on camera so that the rest of their panel can view your work. On campus i believe they just do actual callbacks(in front of their panel). If your not videotaped or called back its most likely an assured rejection.

I did not receive a callback so I am pretty much waiting for my rejection. I was told that rejections go out not too long after the audition. About two weeks is what they said. Then acceptances are sent out by the third week of march.

Got a email from admissions telling me that the theatre department let them know I auditioned as a walk in in LA, so don’t no what that means?

If you auditioned as a walk-in, did you fill out an application to the college itself? It sounds like the admissions dept might have been trying to prompt you to do that. You won’t find anything out unless you’ve applied and paid the fee.

No I applied right after my walkin on Feb12th admissions said the theatre department wanted to know if a had changed my Major to BFA Theatre originally it said undeclared.

Oh do the rejections come from the theatre dept or admissions?

I don’t know where the rejections come from. I was told that if you are rejected from the program, you will not receive an offer to the school unless you explicitly stated you would also like to be considered for another major. I really don’t know how it works though.
