<p>If engineering, then possibly. But those aren’t unheard of stats, so you probably got in because you earned it, not because the ratio needs improving…</p>

<p>“Denied/Offer Alternate: Applicant denied program to which they applied but offered other program at West Lafayette. Decision letter will provide detail about contacting Admissions to discuss other options.” says the Purdue website.</p>
<p>So, call the admissions office and see what other programs they will admit you to.</p>
