Is Purdue Engineering worth it? I feel like the school isn’t well ranked and has a high acceptance rate. I got in and have it as a safety but I don’t know anything about it and I also got into UT Austin, CalPoly SLO, and SDSU Weber. I’m a CA resident.
The school overall isn’t that well ranked, but for engineering it’s about top 10 in the nation (#9 according to US News http://colleges.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-colleges/rankings/engineering-doctorate)…so yeah I’d definitely give it a chance if you’re set on engineering!
Just how highly ranked do you consider “well ranked”? You will be challenged as an engineering major. Is it worth the extra money vs. going in state at one of the UC’s. I would say probably not. Is it a great school to learn engineering absolutely.
