Purdue or Rose Hulman

I've been accepted to both, I was just wondering which one has the overall best biomedical engineering program?

Don't know which one is the best, but both are very good schools. I don't think you could go wrong with either one of them. I guess its just if you prefer a small or very large school. Have you visited either one of them?

I agree with poi. Purdue and Rose Hulman are great engineering schools.

FWIW, U.S. News and World Report doesn't rank "biomedical engineering" for schools whose highest degree is a masters - the category Rose Hulman falls into.

Purdue is not ranked in U.S. News and World Report for biomedical engineering for schools whose highest degree is a doctorate.

I would choose the school based on other factors, such as cost, social setting, sports, etc....whatever is most important to you.

If you like a small school where the teachers can work one on one outside class then Rose is for you. If you want Prof instead of TAs then Rose is for you.

I will say that my DD had the same problems to decide on Large school or small school.

She was trying to decide between U of Ill, U of Mich, Purdue or Rose Hulman. She choose Rose Hulman and says its her dream school.

She loves the way teachers are available after class and how the students all work together. Loves the campus and the people.....lots of clubs and things to do on campus (sports).

Thanks for the comments. I've visited Rose Hulman twice, once for a tour, and once for an interview. I absolutely loved the campus and atmosphere at Rose Hulman, but I haven't yet visited Purdue.
