Purdue, Pitt, or University of Michigan?

Hi everybody. So I need to make a selection between Purdue, the University of Pittsburgh, or the University of Michigan. Pitt and Michigan have offered me preferred admission for the PharmD program, so I would have a guaranteed seat in the pharmacy program if I meet certain requirements. Purdue does not offer this. I would only have to pay about $3,000 total (out of pocket AND in loans, so it's super affordable) for Purdue, and about 9,000 or so for Michigan. Pitt has not sent me an official financial aid package yet, but I received a full tuition scholarship so I'm assuming the costs would be very minimal. Purdue is a lot closer to home than the other two (only about 1 hour and 45 minutes away), while Michigan is closer to 5 hours away and Pittsburgh is super far. I have not yet visited Pitt, but I have visited Purdue and the University of Michigan. I really like Purdue and Michigan's campuses, although Michigan did seem a bit large. And finally, Purdue is a bit more conservative (which I like) while Michigan is rather liberal (which I dislike).

Which college do you think is best? My main issues are location vs. preferred admission.

Also, if this helps, my stats are:
ACT composite: 35
about 4.5 GPA
5 AP classes over the course of 2 years
I've gotten 5s on the two AP tests I've taken

It sounds like you want Purdue. The only thing Purdue doesn’t have for you is the preferred admission to PharmD. Does Purdue offer the PharmD program?

I think Pitt is a little more conservative than Michigan.

Go with University of Michigan. Neither of the two can beat it in terms of reputation. Also, it gave you guaranteed admission for Pharm.

I would like to attend Purdue, but they don’t have the preferred admission, which is a drawback. Purdue does have the PharmD program. I just don’t know if preferred admission outweighs location and cost. Also, I’m not even entirely sure I want to be a pharmacist, but I keep coming back to it. I might want to be a pharmacologist, but that takes the same degree as a pharmacist.

I’m also not too concerned with reputation. They’re all great schools in my mind

^you just answered your own question…I think you want Purdue

“I would like to attend Purdue, but they don’t have the preferred admission, which is a drawback.”

With your GPA and ACT scores, I am certain you will get into Purdue’s pharmacy program. If you like Purdue best, you should go there.
