Hello! I am from Massachusetts and got admitted into Purdue.
I wanted to know approximately how much it costs per year for the travel (flying and shuttle to the campus). I just want to have a rough estimate to add on to the total cost of attendance so I know what I’ll be paying. I’m looking to visit approximately 5-6 times a year.

My dd attends Purdue and we live 30 miles outside of Boston. I recommend flying Southwest Airlines to Indianapolis from Logan. If you have to change a ticket, you can without a change penalty. I’ve found tickets for as low as $75 one way to up to $150 one way (Thanksgiving). For the busier weekends, we often book a return ticket for Monday morning. It conflicts with classes but sometimes the best way to get a reasonable ticket. The shuttle is $25 each way to the airport. You can also fly in and out of O’Hare or Midway in Chicago. I don’t recommend it unless you have family or friends to get you there. There is a bus service to OHare but not Midway. It adds a lot of time to your travel. Good luck & Boiler Up!
