Purdue University - West Lafayette

got accepted today, don't know much about the school outside of the school's propaganda haha
what have you heard about the school?

Big sports college. B-Ball is big. Great engineering program and business and has a pre-pharmacy program. Im visisitng it in the summer so I cant help you with location. Seems like a good school.

I know nothing negative about Purdue at all. Big name, big-time engineering, big-time Greek system, Big Ten. Could be a great experience. I know that you're comparing it to Clemson, with which I'm a little more familiar. The two schools have some academic similarities, though Clemson is more selective than Purdue and less than half its size. Clemson also has a much more residential student body - I believe that includes all the freshmen - which for me is a huge plus. I can't believe that my relationship with my wife would be the same if we lived separately and just got together for pre-arranged appointments; the same is absolutely true for students whose peers live alongside them rather than across town.

Big-time Greek scene is a stretch.

Partying: It's decent. Lots of students actually head to IU on weekends to party.
Greek: See above. Not terrible but not great
Sports: Basketball is doing very well but Football always seems to be king.
Academics: Great engineering and other majors that I'm not too well versed in. Not a great all around school. It has it's "wow" areas, but other than that, it's "meh".
Location/Campus: Northern Indiana. Decent campus with regards to architecture. Lots of stone, which some like, but I don't. Can be very nice during the fall when the weather changes and trees change color. Weather in Indiana can be pretty bad. Gets very hot in the summer and very cold in the winter. Spring and Fall are heavenly.
