<p>do colleges rank students like high school did? like based on gpa's?
and is there such thing as a valedictorian for a college?
i know there are special recognitions based on gpa's, like dean's list, (which is about 3.4 for most schools)
and other various ones for graduating like "graduating with distinction" or "graduating with high distinction" for gpa's that are like higher than what is required for dean's list</p>
<p>while those questions may depend on what college i attend, what do MOST colleges do?
i go to UVA for engineering if that helps any</p>
