Quads in South Campus at OSU

I am going to OSU in the fall and I wanted to stay in south campus because I heard it is a lot more social and fun. I also wanted to be in a quad, however I am aware the doubles on south are much more common. Does anyone know if the quads on south are nice? Or should I just stay in a double?

Are you an incoming freshman? If yes, my understanding of the new housing process is that you do not get to specify a preference for room type. You specify campus area and the rate you are willing to pay (1, 2 or 3 with 3 being the lowest cost). And by being in a quad did you mean being in a room where there are 2 sets of bunked beds or being in basically a suite with two different bed rooms each with 2 unbunked single beds because the latter type of quad is not something that incoming freshman can get.

Yes I am an incoming freshman! And thank you for the information, I am a little lost with the housing process haha. I meant a quad where I had 3 roommates and there are two bedrooms and a bathroom per each room. I thought that freshman could get that option because when I went to the admitted students presentation they talked about that being an option.

Are you in a special community (honors, scholars or a living learning community)? If not, then I am not aware of any suite type option for freshman except for the Towers where there are 4 students per bedroom area in bunked beds (so that is what I would call a quad instead of a suite). And if you are, then perhaps that is available as I am not familiar with housing for those communities of students.

There are no 4 person suites left at all on this campus, even a lot of rank 2 students got left out of them. In addition freshman quads are all or almost all on north in old buildings, i.e. Norton. For south a double is much better than a freshman 4x1 quad anyways.

Tons of freshman quads on West campus in the towers also.
