I was given The Provost Award at ASU for 8k but when I retook the ACT, the estimator said I qualified for The Presidential with my new score. I still haven’t received the updated scholarship. Is anyone else having this problem and does anyone know how to fix it?

ASU probably just hasn’t gotten around to changing it yet, either because they haven’t received the new score or their system just hasn’t reviewed it yet. I may be getting confused between the application portal and MyASU, but can’t you check online to see whether they have the updated ACT score listed on your application account? That would be the first thing to check. Regardless, I would call the Financial Aid Office and 1) verify they have the updated score if you can’t verify yourself online and 2) ask them to verify that they will update your scholarship award based on the new ACT.

They do have my updated ACT score (it’s on MyASU). Should I still call the financial aid office?

yes, of course…

Michaelaf, I made pretty much this exact phone call when my son was entering ASU. The financial aid representative I spoke with was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I would not hesitate to call.

I have the exact same problem! I got the 8k scholarship, retook SAT and now I qualify for the 9.5K one. I don’t know what number to call. Michaelaf, can you PM me the number or email address I should contact? Thanks

Hey! In case anyone is wondering, I got my letter in the mail today for 9,500! I didn’t even call yet. Apparently, patience is a good thing! :)
