hey which one is better? for students from US, please dont answer since you people dont know about Queen's, I want oppinions from Canadian students. Thanks

McGill is better. It has a better reputation, is a major research university, has a very diverse student population, and it's in Montreal. Queen's is in Kingston, Ontario. It has a good enough reputation in Canada but isn't all that well-known internationally. Kingston is pretty boring. The school itself isn't bad, but I think your opportunities will be limited in such a small town.

And I just found out I got into Queen's. Still waiting on McGill though.

If all you care about is reputation within Canada you can't go wrong with either one. I'd personally lean toward McGill, unless you are thinking of doing economics or commerce -- in which case Queen's is the obvious choice.

Outside Canada, however, McGill exists while Queen's pretty much doesn't. (I'm Canadian btw)

How about an opinion from a Canadian mom? McGill definitely has a better reputation in the US and worldwide. Having said that, I haven't visited the campus but it is located in the heart of Montreal. A great opportunity to practice your French!

I have toured Queens just this past summer. I really liked the campus! Kingston is a great college (university in Canada) town. It's on the shore of Lake Ontario. More of a small town campus feel but with bus service you have access to Toronto, Ottawa, skiing in Quebec etc. Queens is ranked very highly. It's a smaller school than McGill. We toured hoping our son would apply there. He liked it a lot until he then toured some of the US schools that have more money to put into their student unions, football fields etc. Canadian schools are typically government funded. Their academics are excellent, but often there just isn't the funds to put into the campus extras. Even without the big 10 extras, Queens has a very active student body with many clubs, sports.

hey me too i got into Queen's but still havn't gotten into McGill

heyyy! thanks it helps
