Questbridge College Prep Scholarship 2015 Applicant Thread

… oh geez @UnicornDuchess what did it say not to do?

does anyone know when the results come out??

@UnicornDuchess can you post the link for it?

Last year they came out on April 22nd, but you never know! @tedddybear Do you guys think they’ll come out tomorrow?

Thanks! @lmartin21
I hope they do come out tomorrow, honestly I think it is pretty reasonable!
I have no patience haha

I know how you feel! I have testing this week and I’m always tempted to check my phone if I got any emails. Good luck to you though! @tedddybear

I feel you to the highest degree possible!! @lmartin21
It’s the same situation for me!
Good luck to you too

Goodluck guys

Does anyone know what the acceptance rate is?

Questbridge accepted about 35% of the applicants last year. It was about 2,000 out of 7,000. @Iamquiteloud

http://www.questbridge.org/for-students/cps-profile

@Iamquiteloud these are the stats from last year

So roughly 40% more or less are accepted

Theres almost no logical reason to believe it will be tomorrow other than it was that last year, which really means nothing. BUT, I’m still gonna check my email religiously tomorrow anyway :stuck_out_tongue:

@Samantha3 thanks! The only thing that kind of worries me is the fact that 74% of the scholars are first generation to a four-year college. I migrated to the Unites States from a Central American country when I was ten years old, but my father got an agricultural engineering degree and my two older brothers attended university. I will be the first female in my family attending college though, and it kind of sucks tat doesn’t really “count” as first-gen but I guess I’ll see how my application turns out wen decisions come out

Yea that 74% worries me too.

Me too, first generation American but my mom was high school age when she immigrated and was able to attend a local college.

News was delivered on the 22nd in 2013 too. …trend or coincidence? I’m so anxious.

@Samantha3 Ok now I’m REALLY gonna be checking my email way too often.

I guess I’m “lucky” to be a URM, first-gen, and in the <$60,000 income bracket.

Still really nervous for the results, though.

I’m ridiculously nervous! :-S
