It probably means that they will start to be released late April, but everyone should have a response by early May.
Do they notify everyone by email as to whether they were selected or not? Or do they only tell the winners and leave everyone else hanging…
@SaburosFather They have not been released yet! When they do, I think you’d have to log in to your Questbridge account to see your results. I’m not sure if they email everyone, though.
The wait is too intense :-S
@Samantha3. I absolutely agree with you. I’d prefer to get rejected right now rather than wait any longer. :-S
So can we expect to hear from Questbridge tomorrow?
@mzr1998. Hopefully, but we’re still not sure. I ask QB whether there is a specific date when they will release decisions earlier today, and I’ll post their answer as soon as I receive it.
@DominicBayer Thanks, that’s great! Really hoping that we hear from then this week!
When I emailed they told me early May but considering last year they came out April 22nd (tomorrow), I’m holding out hope to hear tomorrow/this week.
This was the answer they gave me:
Hello,
Award notifications for the College Prep Scholarship will be released by early May. We do not have an exact date that we can provide. You will receive an e-mail informing you that your application status can be viewed on your Application Management page.
Kind regards,
The QuestBridge Team
So I guess we’ll just have to live in this uncertainty and repeatedly check our e-mails.
@DominicBayer Well, I guess more waiting, I guess we can consider this as a warm-up for the waiting-game we are to experience in the imminent college admission season.
You’re right @mzr1998. Now that you brought that subject up, what colleges are you interested in applying to?
Yeah that looks like the same thing they sent me. Fourth time playing the waiting game so far, applied to a bunch of programs and it’s the same for all of them, no definite date and hearing from them at a random time.
I have no idea how I’m going to handle college/scholarship decisions next year! Wish everything was like the SAT where you know exactly when to expect the outcome.
But oh well, nothing we can do, good luck to all!
Good luck to you too, @Samantha3, and to everyone else out there!
Oh man I’m so nervous. I’m using this decision to help me gauge how good of a candidate I am for colleges so if I don’t get in then things aren’t looking too good for me.
Me too @Swinter and to gauge chances for the match program next year.
While the other perks are nice, I really am looking to get the award to boost my chances for the Match. Hopefully everything works out either way
I read an article yesterday about how to write a personal statement and so I went back to reread the one I wrote for Questbridge and I noticed that I did almost everything the article said NOT to do. God help me…
