<p>Okay, my son wasn’t matched. But he got an email from Northwestern (one of his matches) encouraging him to apply ED. Is that significant, or does it go to everyone who matched them? Does anyone know?</p>
<p>I didn’t get matched either. This is extremely depressing news for me, for I had such high hopes. I have a great SAT, my essays have been highly praised, I am a very accomplished violinist…I do not understand where my application went wrong.</p>
<p>Oh yes, and to top it all off, my sister was not matched as well. At least we can brave it out together!</p>
<p>confetti, did you see my story about Notre Dame and how when ds didn’t get matched and went RD, they moved him to EA on their own and accepted him? I’d wait to see what others who didn’t get matched at Northwestern say, but it could be a good sign. If he knows he wants to go there, I see no harm in going ED.</p>

<p>Not sure if he wants to go there – their NPC number was much higher than anyone else’s, so we took them off the table last spring. Then came QB and possibilities, so… we’ll see. He probably already knows where he wants to apply RD.</p>
