<p>Seeing as the Questbridge College Pre Scholarship is over I thought why not make this now. I know a lot of us are already working on the application from now. So I thought why not make it now. I am going to encourage you all to use each other as resources. Don't be scared to post, ask questions, get involved in conversations, get help w/ the application ect. Remember to apply to non-Questbrdige schools, and safety school. Hopefully I get to see some of you in college, in the up coming year. Best of luck to everyone and remember to keep working hard. </p>

<p>When do the apps start? And QB said that parts of our CPS app will carry over right?</p>

<p>@drbio101 They are suppose to start in August. Also I not sure if anything carries over I know they have it on file and you can use stuff from CPS in the NCM.</p>

<p>To HeisAidanD: Don’t fret on the rankings - pick 2-3 right now and start researching them. Majors, location etc. then sort. Maybe you want a University over LAC? </p>

<p>Hey. I was wondering if they actually want to know “the real you” in those short answer questions? or are they just looking for the ‘way you write’ and such? </p>

<p>I was kind of thinking of the same thing as @Blossom97. Do they want the essay questions to be more unique? Should they be more serious or light-hearted?</p>

<p>The essays and short questions are meant for the admissions officers to get to know you. It’s probably one of the most important, if not the most important part of your application, as it’s meant to highlight you as a real human being rather than just a set of test scores and grades. Be as honest and authentic as possible; make sure you demonstrate your growth as a person within and outside school. Slight exaggerations are okay, but don’t make stuff up! Spice up your responses with playful sentence structure, syntax, and an interesting idea/topic so that your writing stands out amidst the thousands of applicants.</p>

<p>Even if we don’t get matched in the end, or choose to apply RD, I imagine being a Questbridge Finalist (for those of us who become one) makes your application look even better anywhere else?</p>

<p>@nrnr29 i think so. I just think our apps have a bit of advantage in general because of our low income hook. But then again…thats what QB is about haha.</p>
