QuestBridge National College Match 2012-2013

It’s automatic^

NO! But I get e-mail from Haverford and Northwestern!
Anyone else?

This whole email ordeal is confusing. Northwestern was the only one to send me an email, but that email was generic. As a result, I expected to receive additional emails from Amherst and Williams (as those are the two other schools I can apply ED for) – but I received nothing from them yet.

@Lesley, that makes me disappointed as well; but Columbia doesn’t have an ED option…on that same note…UPenn and Dartmouth both don’t have ED options. You sure that person actually got an email? At best it’d be an email encouraging them to apply for RD.

yeahh, apparently they do let a very small number apply ED afterwards… Likely the people who they wanted to match, but maybe got matched to a non-binding school instead, or people that were juuuuust below those who did get matched…

whaaaattt D: i didn’t get any email…

D’:

same… i’d do ED to Columbia or Penn in a heart beat

My son was matched with Yale. (25)

My daughter was matched with U Chicago. Who else? I only saw a couple of people in this thread, but there are a whopping 38 of you this year!

What if we haven’t gotten any emails from schools we didn’t get matched to yet? Does that mean that there isn’t any hope?

Matched to Davidson…my reaction was priceless when i received the good news :)

@smardie I was kind of wondering the same thing. :/

I think Stanford matched 28, right?

i wish i got an email for ED…D:

Same. I really wanted to do ED to Columbia. :/

I’m just wondering if that girl on the QB group is making it up. -_-

Did anyone else get an e-mail from Williams encouraging them to apply either ed or rd? I am trying to figure out if this is actually a promising sign or if everyone gets one who wasn’t matched.

I got an email from Williams notifying me that the ED round is still open for QB applicants. I didn’t rank this school, so it looks like they’re reaching out to anyone. For the most part, I’m pretty sure I’m waiting for RD on all my schools even if they give me an ED option.

@wohlln A loooot of people on the FB group got it

So after 2 days of intense research, I’ve decided to go through with Williams ED (over Amherst and Northwestern). What’s also cool is that my Chicago app rolled over, which means I get considered for EA as well. My only concern was that the financial aid would be less than expected, and I would be stuck in a binding agreement – but Williams covers 100% of financial need + I’ll be applying for various scholarships. Are you guys transferring to ED/EA to any colleges? If so, which ones? This is simply the next step in this long process of college admissions ;).
