I started a thread for who ever is starting to apply to the NCM for Questbridge. Feel free to comment
hey, is this questbridge thing legit? Do a lot of people get this email (cuz if so, its probably not legit).all 4 years paid for scholarship sounds too good to be true… also how does it work? After I submit my recommendations and information, do i have to be selected from a pool of applicants??
They said they picked ppl based off CB scores. Imma post mine and others post ures to see how selective they were:
SAT: 1560 (800 math, 760 rdg)
Subject: 800 math, 780 chem
Ive taken 8 AP tests, 6 tests i got 5. 2 tests i got 4.
@meekmill1123 Questbridge is totally legit. If you go on their website you can see stories of people getting match to one of the the partner colleges and it totally changed their life. The Questbridge National College Match Scholarship is for high achieving low income students. You just simply apply and finish the application by the due date which is September 23 and by October they will select finalists. Those finalists have a choice to rank the partner colleges and by December you will find out whether you have been match to one of the colleges you rank and that college will give you a full ride to their school. This is a binding decision so if you get match to a college, you must attend that school.
so heres the problem. i got a select email from one of their reps (which is a good sign i think), but my family makes 200k+ a year… so… is it even worth applying then since i dont meet their financial standard??
Usually their specific circumstance is 65k a year for a family four or usually if you are in a family more than 4 and you make less than 95k a year then you will be alright. However it seems that 200k is above the cutoff. If you are still unfit to pay for college try look for others scholarships like Bill Gates Scholarships or the Dell Scholarship that doesn´t have a cutoff. You are still encourage to apply to Questbridge. Just try to explain to them the hardships economically speaking you guys go through for example if you are in debt or maybe your parents work 3 jobs and measure up to 200k and you guys have about 6 kids to take care off

S19 just clicked submit on his NCM app. He wanted to get it done before football practice and school started.
Good luck everyone and keep going!
