Question about advancing to finalist status

<p>I am a senior and have qualified to be a national merit semifinalist. I might get some bad grades on my upcoming finals (maybe a C or two). My current gpa is 3.84 unweighted 3.93 weighted. </p>

<p>Has anyone ever heard of a senior not advancing due to mediocre senior grades? There was nothing lower than a B on my junior transcript.</p>

<p>My grades will not be finalized until January 28, but I'm still really worried. Thanks!!!!</p>

<p>No, rejection letters will already have been sent (and you should have seen it by now). Also, your grades on finals would not appear on your transcript (only your final grade for the year, semester, trimester, or quarter, depending on the school). If you have not received a rejection letter, you are a NMF.</p>

<p>In a couple weeks, you will be officially noticed to be NMF.</p>
