Question about AP Awards?

I'm an upcoming junior and during sophomore year, I took one AP course and got a 4 on the exam. I'm planning to take 4 more junior year. (English Language, US History, Biology, Music Theory)
I'm aiming for the AP Scholar with distinction award.

The college board website says: The Calculus AB subscore, Music Theory aural subscore, and Music Theory nonaural subscore are not used in the AP Scholar Award calculations.

Does that mean Music Theory does not count toward the awards at all and if so, why? I really want to get this award.

The music theory score counts, but only as one exam - as in, if you were to get a 5, and then subscore 5 for aural and non-aural, that doesn’t count as 3 5’s, just 1.

Oh! That makes sense! Thanks so much, preamble1776!!
