Yes, you have to request that your scores by the deadline.

I write extensively about this because students are under the false impression that when they submit their request, the scores come to us and they don’t. ETS takes a while to actually get them to us.

First-quarter grades are not on the chart of required components.

I have a related question. My son submitted his EA application a few days ago. Today he got his access to the student system and it shows that UVA admissions has not received his transcript, letters of rec, or test scores. However, his test scores were sent at least a month ago and Navance is showing that the other school documents were sent. I don’t want him to miss the EA deadline. How does his work? Does UVA have the information but it is not all in his file yet? Does it need to show complete by Nov. 1? Any help is appreciated! I will try to call tomorrow, but I suspect they will be flooded with last minute questions.

Our staff is checking in documents from two processes right now: the transfer process (deadline was October 1) and the early action process. Please don’t worry! We’ll email the applicant directly if we are missing something once we have everything checked in. :)

Thanks for the reply. Approximately how long does it take for one to receive a confirmation email after applying. I’m just getting really nervous, because I did wait until the last minute :D

@"Dean J" So hypothetically, if I requested my scores on a few days ago but plan on applying Early Action, would I still be “allowed” to apply EA given that my scores probably won’t make it until after November 1st? Thanks in advance!
