<p>What breaks do the dorms at Yale close?</p>
<p>I know summer and winter, but what about thanksgiving and spring breaks?</p>
<p>Are meals served over breaks, and if so, which ones?</p>

<p>The only breaks that the colleges close for are Winter and Summer. None of the others.</p>
<p>However, during breaks, all dining halls close, so you're on your on in terms of finding food. Not that there aren't a good deal of restaurants in the area, but it can get a little pricey.</p>
<p>just so you know, many (if not all) of the resident colleges have kitchens which you can access for a nominal fee & west coast kids are often invited to meals/homes of friends on the east coast. and sometimes the Master will throw a Thanksgiving dinner. also, bcuz of the weeklong Thanks break, we've found that RT trips seem to miss the heavy traffic time. also, there are tons of travel/service opportunities during those breaks (often incl $$ help) ... those Yale kids/young adults seem to really enjoy helping others</p>
