question about changing majors

My son is currently a freshman at UM. Can a current student advise as to how hard it would be for him to change from an engineering major to architecture?

The issue with that is that the architecture program at UM is very strict/specific. I’m pretty sure you need to go in as a freshman, although your son MIGHT be able to switch as a sophomore. I know juniors can’t switch to it. Best thing you can do is ask an admissions counselor. Any other major is very easy to switch into, but you might face some trouble with architecture.

I would get in touch with Rocco Ceo, the Director of Undergraduate Studies for the Architecture School, and see what he has to say. You can find his info here: [Miami Architecture | Rocco Ceo](http://arc.miami.edu/people/faculty/rocco-ceo)
