Hi everyone,
I have been very, very fortunately accepted to Berkeley for Poli sci major.
but, i have realized that my goal have changed over this short period between December and Now. so, i am really trying to figure out how to change my major.

so my question is,
What process do i have to go through?
What is the possibility of changing the major before the school begins? (assuming that i will take the summer program)
How difficult is it to change the major?
If i do end up in poli sci major for a semester or two, will i still be able to graduate in four years? (How behind will i be compared to other IR majors?)

as you can see, i am truly clueless. But i am really trying to find good answers.

Please! help!

what major are you switching to?

dude if you’re in LS, you’re not even declared poli sci. In fact, you’re nothing. lol If you’re going for Engineering/Environment, that’ll take some work to switch OUT of LS college and into those colleges, but otherwise, it’s pretty much take whatever you want for your desired major

Batman is completely right, when you are admitted into college of L&S you are undeclared and dont even have a major until you declare at CAL. You can switch to any major you want in letters and science…it is very free flowing and you can do what ever you want…its not like some colleges where they lock you down and you cant get out of your major, i think they understand that kids change their minds about their majors and their futures, so its really easy. i changed my major a million times…hahha
