Question about direct entry programs/certain colleges

@gingerlemon, here’s the list from allnursingschools.com. It doesn’t seem that big to me. Belmont has a program, but Vandy does not. JHU has a program, but not UM - Baltimore. There are only 2 programs in Pennsylvania, one in Connecticut, etc.

[Nurse Practitioner (NP) Schools | Find Nurse Practitioner Programs and NP Schools on All Nursing Schools](http://www.allnursingschools.com/nursing-degree/nurse-practitioner)

@brittybee - Samford is another Christian school (Baptist) that has nursing. It’s in Birmingham and has a beautiful campus.

DeSales University in eastern PA. has a program where top BSN students can take some grad classes as an undergrad.

@green witch…the link you reference only lists two schools in PA with NP programs, but there definitely are more than that. I can think of many (Pitt, Penn State, Temple, Drexel) right off the top of my head.

Georgetown’s nursing program admission rate is only about 20%, and only well-qualified students apply. There is nothing wrong with applying, but realize that many people with near perfect scores get rejected.

^ An acceptance rate of 20% is pretty good for a top nursing program. In my year, my school only accepted somewhere between %12 and %15 of the applicants!

greenwitch - that list is not accurate. I can think of about 5 more right off the top of my head with Nurse Midwifery programs and other nurse practitioner programs. URI, Fairfield, Yale, UMASS amherst.
