Question About ECs

Hi! I wanted to ask if you guys think I'm spreading out my ECs too thin. So far I have:

President of school literary magazine
MUN member
Medical Club member
Health Club member
Badminton team
Going to be in NHS

I've won a few regional Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, and I don't know if this counts as an EC, but I run a blog (under a pseudonym) reviewing books and publishers send me early copies of books to review.

I'm planning to start a service project tying in with the literary magazine next year.

Is there anything else you guys recommend I do? I know that I should follow my own interests and everything, which I am, but what is something that could further strengthen my ECs?

this is easier said than done but more leadership positions would be good

As well as getting more leadership positions, dont just join clubs to pack your resume. join clubs that you are interested in only, it shows on your application.

My thread (chance please): <a href=“Chances for Vanderbilt, UNC, NYU, UF, and Duke? - Chance Me / Match Me! - College Confidential Forums”>http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1610985-chances-for-vanderbilt-unc-nyu-uf-and-duke-p1.html</a>

It’s definitely a good start. I can see your interest in Literacy, but also willingness to try new things. You are fairly well rounded. To make sure those clubs don’t look like you’re “packing your resume,” make sure to win some awards or take a leadership position within the club. Good luck!

Chance me?
