Question about End-of-Year grades

When UMich checks up on your senior year grades, do they only look at the final transcript grades? Am I in deep crap if I get a few C's for one quarter? I didn't do so hot my third quarter. My first two quarters I got mostly all A's/B's.

just dont get any Ds and youll be fine

If your school only includes semester grades on your transcript, I'd think you have a bit of time to pull the C's up and Umich won't even know they were there.

But generally, it's a good idea to steer clear of C's, and it's not too great if you're looking at more than one. If it can't be helped, I've heard you can send UG Admissions a letter regarding (and hopefully explaining) your substandard performance.

I've heard a few stories (one from the NHS advisor in particular) about some kids who messed up senior year who had their admission rescinded. They had a teacher or their GC send UG Admissions a letter explaining the extreme drop in performance and all was well in the end.

I'm not sure if what I've said is entirely correct; feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
